Navasota Valley Electric Cooperative essay contest open to juniors and seniors. Topic is: “The Changing World of Electricity”---tell what is happening in the electric utility industry and how these changes will affect you as a future consumer. Entries are due in their Franklin or Mart office by February 10, 2010.

The Texas Lyceum Leadership Award application is available in counselor’s office and is due on or before February 15, 2010.

St. Joseph Foundation Healthcare Education Scholarship application is available for seniors pursuing careers in nursing, radiology, physical therapy, medical office management/specialist, or other medically-related courses of study. Application deadline is February 16, 2010.

Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship is available in the counselor’s office. Student must be pursuing a degree with an interest in the energy industry. Deadline is February 16, 2010.

Shell Minority Scholarship is available in the counselor’s office. Student must be pursuing a degree with an interest in the energy industry. Deadline is February 16, 2010.

Texas Armed Services Scholarship Program Application for Nomination is available in the counselor’s office. Student must participate in a ROTC program for four years in college and commit to the serve for four years in the national guard or any branch of the armed services of the United States. Application must be in Senator Ogden’s office by Friday, February 26, 2010.


Texas Elks State Association Essay Contest is for all Texas high school students on the topic of: “The American Dream…What is it?”. Entry form is available online at www.texaselks.org/pdf/2009%20TESA%20Essay%20Contest.pdf. Deadline is February 28, 2010.



March Scholarships

Texas Department of Transportation Conditional Grant Program application is available in the counselor’s office or at www.txdot.gov/careers. Students must be pursuing a degree in civil engineering. Deadline is March 1, 2010.

April Scholarships

Robertson County Fair Association Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Applications must be delivered to Mr. McCullough’s office by Tuesday, April 13, 2010 by 4:30 p.m.

Robertson County Retired Teachers Association Scholarship is available in the counselor’s office. Students must plan on entering the teaching profession. Deadline to submit the application into the counselor’s office is April 29, 2010.

Dairy Queen Student Employee Merit Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Deadline is April 30, 2010.

Waco Tribune-Herald Dave Campbell/Hollis Biddle Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Application must be postmarked by April 30, 2010.


May Scholarships

Love High School Alumni Association Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Applications must be mailed to Mrs. Emma Aycox on or before May 1, 2010.

Coburn’s Pharmacy Scholarship is available in the counselor’s office. Application must be submitted by May 7, 2010.

Kiewit Foundation/Walnut Creek Mining Company Scholarship is available in the counselor’s office. Open to all students with an emphasis given to students pursuing a degree in science or engineering. Application must be submitted by May 7, 2010.

Navasota Valley Electric Company Scholarship is available in the counselor’s office. Parents must be members of the electric co-op. Application must be submitted by May 7, 2010.

Robertson County NAACP Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Open to all students. Application must be submitted to the counselor by May 7, 2010.

Alice Casas Memorial Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Open to all students pursuing a post-secondary education in medical/health careers. Application must be submitted to the counselor by May 14, 2010.

American Red Cross Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office and is open to all National Honor Society members. Deadline for application is May 14, 2010.

The Helen J. Kleypas Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Application must be submitted to the counselor by May 14, 2010.

Texas Hospitality Association poster contest will award a $5000 educational scholarship to the winning artwork. Details can be found in the counselor’s office. Deadline to submit artwork is Friday, May 14, 2010.

Bremond Chamber of Commerce Scholarship application is available in the counselor’s office. Deadline is May 17, 2010.
